Zoë E. Bell was born on November 17, 1978 in Waiheke Island, New Zealand. She was Lucy Lawless' stunt-double for the majority of Xena: Warrior Princess.

She is best known for her work with Quentin Tarantino, being Uma Therman's stunt-double in Kill Bill: Vol 1 and Kill Bill: Vol 2 and working many of the stunts in Inglorious Basterds. She has also worked the stunts on hit films such as Grindhouse, The Final Destination and Bitch Slap. She is also a voice artist, lending her voice to the videogame Fallout: New Vegas and the hit show Lost.

Zoe's work as a stuntwoman on Xena, her struggles to find work after the show's cancellation and her landing the role of Uma Thurman's double, was the subject of the documentary Double Dare which also focused on Zoe's friend and stunt pioneer, Jeannie Epper, who was the stunt double for Lynda Carter on the 1970s show Wonder Woman. The film also focused on the obstacles that many stuntwomen face in Hollywood. She later starred as the stuntwoman Zoey the cat in the Quentin Tarantino film Death Proof.
