King Omphale was a great explorer. He had a vast collection of navigational instruments with which he travelled the world. Among these instruments was the One True Compass which could point the way to Troy. King Omphale was married to Queen Omphale until his death.

In Greek mythology, "King Omphale" (Queen Omphale's husband) was actually King Tmoulus of Lydia. The name was reused for an unrelated character in "The March to Freedom".
Some myths claim he was a river god, the son of Ares.
