Joseph LoDuca was born in 1958 in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

His successful career as a composer for film and television began with Sam Raimi's "The Evil Dead." Since that film, LoDuca and Raimi have gone on to create many successful collaborations. LoDuca created the music for Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess and Young Hercules. His collaborations with the "Michigan Mafia" have continued with Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi's "Legend of the Seeker" series (for which LoDuca has just been nominated for an Emmy) and the upcoming "Spartacus: Blood and Sand."
