Opium was a friend of Sestus and Cletis. He was with them when they were killed by Eryx the Boxer. Later, when Nessus was criticizing Hercules in a tavern, Opium defended Hercules (who had avenged his friends by killing Eryx).

- Opium was played by Michael Wilson.
- The end credits list Michael Wilson as playing Opium/Echion. He appears in two scenes, in the same costume. It seems likely that the filmmakers originally intended this to be two characters but realized they could both be played by the same performer. Why they still list two character names in the credits is uncertain.
