This Cyclops was bullied and scorned all his life until Castor began to be "kind" to him in order to use him for Hera's purposes. The Cyclops was responsible for guarding Hera's Sacred Vineyard. He diverted a river from a nearby village to keep the vines irrigated. He developed a crush on a woman named Scilla and she and Hercules convinced him to stop following Castor and to forgive the villagers. The Cyclops even helped Hercules to defeat Hera's Executioners where Hercules even threw the Cyclops enough to crush the Chief Executioner.
