Antos was a bard who was in love with Princess Dido. When Dido was sent by her father, King Cadmus to become the wife of Jason in Corinth, Antos followed and attacked Jason several times out of jealousy. Eventually, Cadmus agreed that Dido could marry for love. Antos and Dido left Corinth happily together.
